We are having guests over for Sunday dinner. For me this is a big deal, because I never invite anyone to the house. On the menu was Corned Beef but this is America and stores only carry it for Party’s Day. I would have made the Corned Beef my self, but to brine the Roast properly would take around a week and tomorrow is the dinner. So we had to have a menu change.
Kansa and I are still serving twice baked Potatoes but we have a pot roast in place of the Corned Beef. The Beverage is milk. After all we are Mormon and we don’t drink. The dish is garnished with Cabbage, Carrots, Onions and Garlic. The recipe as always is found in the Urb an Cook that is coming soon. I am working night and day to come up with simple recipes that will not break your check book. Many of them use seasoning packets to cut down on costs. The idea being that the reader does not cook enough to justify the purchasing of a party full of spices, so the one time menu item may be less costly, if you bout all the spices in one packet. Nevertheless, I do delicate a chapter to learning how spices and different states work with the human pallet.
