As I have said before, “soups are a wonderfully simple way to stretch our food.” Recently I decided to try and put out a Magazine called The Searcher. I will give my readers the linked to it when the first issue is completed. Until then, I did not put any soup recipes in the Urb an Cook. Now I am thinking at least one or two need to be put into the book before I send the book to my Editor.
Here is the setup. Cabbage that needs to be used. A white onion that has been chopped and grilled together with some broccoli, carrots, and potatoes. In the mean time, caramelize some garlic and mushrooms in brown sugar with a dash of back pepper. Put it all together in a crock pot of chicken broth and let it simmer over night.
After setting the crock pot for the night, Kansa and I fell asleep went to work the next morning. I love being a slave!
