My current project is called Trails of the Heart.
Ironically the project gets its name from the Trails of Suffering that comes out of the sins that we tend to think are victimless. I recently hand a run in with how one Man’s addiction to gambling could effect hundreds of innocent bystanders.
A close friend of mine worker for a company who’s Owner is addicted to gambling. His addiction has meant the loss of both jobs and business for his company. The Owner’s gambling habit also meant that payroll has ended with NSF payroll, which means his employees are not getting paid. My friend was grateful for his churches council, to keep a food Cash in case of hard times.
“You find your self living on dried beans and oatmeal, when you don’t have the money for anything better, but I am glad that much at least was in the house.” My friend did not want to let me use his name but he was happy to talk to me about the problem.
There is no such thing as a private sin because humans are so interconnected. Think about that while you wait for the book to come out.
If you have not noticed this website much like the book is about so much more than just learning to cook to get through the hard times. I also try and point out the root cause of those hard times. I mean if you are spending more money on Tobacco then you are food for the household their may be a problem.
