As I said in my last post, Kansa is now driving for Uber. Cool she makes money on her own terms but like any taxi service there are bad days that come along with the good. She learned that the events are way too crazy for the effort to be spent. We started the ride sharing service to bring in an income for my wife but after a day of four cancelations and only one rider that was not completely drunk, we decided to only drive during the work day.
We are both driving for Uber now because the new location the Quantum is too fair to make the trip twice every day and not get paid for drive. We could not afford to fill the gas tank more than twice a week.
Everyone I work with tells me that the wear and tear on the car would not be worth what Uber pays us, but the truth is with out getting paid for drive time Quantum is not able to pay for the wear on our car. At least with Uber we can set aside 4% of each trip to budget for the cars upkeep.
