One of the larger factors in the Urban Problem is the Health Care Industry.
My wife has been in and out of the hospital all of her life. Recently she went in and she had the so-called professionals tell her that she needed to stay. She had already been in the hospital for two weeks and had not even seen a doctor. Now they wanted to make her status “residential” meaning she would not be allowed to got home until they got sick of sucking the money out of the Taxpayers.
Really? They don’t let her talk to a doctor for two weeks and now they want to institutionalize her! She went in for a simple med adjustment and the staff at Elahan Place in Vancouver Washington, use her to spend more money that belongs to the Taxpayers.
If we did not have insurance, if we hand to pay for this lack of treatment out of our own pocket, Kansa would be sent home much sooner. Burt because they can bill the insurance company, the hospital milks the money out of them with nothing to stop them. Further because most people do have insurance, the cost of health care becomes justified. Now they know they can change what ever they want because someone will pay it.
However, if the person can’t pay they will still only do the minimum to help that person and use the unpayed treatment as an excuse to raise the price of treatment. This is what I call the Hypocritic not Hippocratic Oath.
